Looked to work on my end.
Video. Set, Match Length, & Tolerance of (default) 5.000 s.
Saved my search.
Did a, New scan.
Then Load scan of my saved search, & with that, Scan Criteria does show Match Length enabled, along with the Tolerance.
(I didn't look at the Audio end.)
OK, more.
Changed ...

Re: Live Duplicates discovered so far
Yep.
You can see counts of items, & some percentages & the like, but any number of duplicates found - until completion.
Wonder if that data is actually available - at least for some searches?
If so, yes, I'd think it to be of value.

Re: Selecting entire groups to be marked
In general, I'm not seeing a way particularly.
But if they were contiguous sets of files, you could highlight the first, then Shift+click the last & then hit the <spacebar>, that would select that entire set of files.
Likewise, you could do the opposite.

Re: Can DCP5 find Images without Thumbnails?
I suspect that XnView is wanting to rely upon the existence of a thumbnail, where you are looking for the opposite - that the thumbnail does not exist.
I'll also note, & not that I particularly know about such things, that a "thumbnail" may exist in different "manners" in a file, I suppose ...

Re: Can DCP5 find Images without Thumbnails?
Is Windows Explorer, Properties "aware" of Thumbnails (embedded within a picture)?
Or can DC read EXIF Properties to know?
(I see where it can read various "Tags", but I do not see "thumbnail" particularly.)

Re: The log file is located but never shows anything
The Log file, by default, looks to end up in Documents.
The Log file, can be named anything & be just about anywhere you want it.
Options | Settings | General -> Log
The log can be manipulated as you want - outside of DC (& while DC is not running a scan).

Re: Feature Request: Cut and Paste
There is a F6 hotkey to copy fullpath, that might afford some benefit, but it is funky at best, often returning error message, so couldn't really try it out.

Re: duplicate cleaner pro 5 stops when clicking scan location
Best I can tell ? , there in nothing meaningful in the Windows Registry (maybe the key is there, not sure?), but not like any settings that would materially affect program operation.
Otherwise, DC looks to store its settings in %appdata%/Roaming/Digitalvolcano/DuplicateCleaner.
