Thanks for a fantastic program.
I don't use Duplicate Cleaner to scan through hundreds of thousands of photos. All my photos are organized by year and date with associated event in several photo databases. There can be several hundred events in a year.
When I import new photos to my PC, I remove unnecessary photos and some obvious duplicates. But I keep a backup of all photos (and videos) I don't want to keep in my photo databases. I do one last search for duplicates with Duplicate Cleaner, for example for all photos / events in 2024.
And so to the point: I miss the ability to Cut and Paste in Duplicate Cleaner 5.
The point is that I can then use Cut in Duplicate Cleaner, and Paste in Directory Opus (DOPUS) in each backup folder associated with each event. (I use DOPUS instead of Windows Explorer).
Is it possible to implement this in the program?

Feature Request: Cut and Paste
Re: Feature Request: Cut and Paste
There is a F6 hotkey to copy fullpath, that might afford some benefit, but it is funky at best, often returning error message, so couldn't really try it out.

Re: Feature Request: Cut and Paste
Are you looking to cut and paste folders (duplicate folders tab) or files from the duplicate files tab?
Re: Feature Request: Cut and Paste
Thanks for the response.
My immediate wish is only Cut and Paste files.
If I see one or more files that I want to remove in the Duplicate files tab, I want to highlight (mark) these files and use Cut (and Past) so that I can move these files to different backup folders using Paste in my preferred explorer alternative, DOPUS.
I want to look into Cut and Past folders (in duplicate folders tab). But that is not my problem right now. I bought Duplicate Cleaner 5 a month ago, so I am still exploring all the options available.
I want to thank you for an exceptionally good program.

Re: Feature Request: Cut and Paste
Thanks - glad you find it useful. I'll add cut and paste as a suggestion for version 6.
Re: Feature Request: Cut and Paste
Thanks for the reply.
Do you have an estimate for when version 6 will be released?
PS I have tested many programs in this genre, but none come close to the capabilities of Duplicate Cleaner Pro.

Re: Feature Request: Cut and Paste
J-Toresen,
I use Dopus also.
When I want to move files I see in DCP5 to a different folder, I right-click the destination folder name in DOpus, choose 'copy full path name' from the context menu, and then paste that path into the filed in the File removal tab. Then I click 'Move'.
Will that help you achieve your goal more easily?
