Exception Recorded in Log File > Notification in GUI

Would like to see in the GUI application some obvious indicator when an Exception is recorded in the Log file. Apparently, I've been generating errors for sometime and had no idea I needed see what was going on.

Specifically, in my most recent case some IMAGE files were either not supported image files, or files with extensions for supported image files but were really html or doc files. Something like the proposed/concept below would be beneficial:
