I'm running Duplicate Cleaner Pro 5.0.13.
Sometimes while deleting duplicate files, the program opens an error box: "Error in Delete Duplicate Files: An item with the same key has already been added."
If I click "OK," the program stops. The log file says:
0 file(s) have been deleted.
202 File(s) had delete errors (Check log)
Please advise.
Thanks.

Re: Duplicate Cleaner Pro v5 error and fails to delete files
Are you scanning inside Zip files?
Zips have also been known to contain multiple files with the same name and folder, which do not work with the Windows delete functions.
Things to try-
-Remove the bad zip files from your delete job
or
-Try unchecking 'Via Windows Shell' (next to the delete button). This will delete in a different way.

Re: Duplicate Cleaner Pro v5 error and fails to delete files
Hi DigitalVolcano,
Thanks for the quick response--you solved the problem.
I was not scanning inside Zip files.
I did uncheck "Via Windows Shell," and it eliminated the error and also deleted the 202 files that the previous run said had delete errors. Here's the log:
205,432 file(s) have been deleted.
5,306 folder(s) have been removed.
Question: why not always disable the "Via Windows Shell" option?
