Duplicate Files list management slow

I reviewed other posts and did not see this addressed directly.

Duplicate Cleaner Pro 4.0.4 64 bit
Windows 7
16GB RAM

I find managing the duplicate file list to be intolerably slow. For example, with a list containing roughly 8,000 files, clicking a column to change the sort took well over 5 *minutes*. I then selected about 350 rows and chose "Drop selected from list". Again, it took well over 5 minutes before I could continue work.

Similarly, closing and reopening DC Pro can take an immense amount of time to load the DuplicateCleaner4_Pro.data file.

Is there anything to be done about this?

Is your user profile on a network or external drive? This will slow things down.

You could try a 'factory reset' on the database (note, settings will be lost).

No, everything is local. And I have reset the profile before, but all it affects is the initial load. As soon as I have a list with 8K-10K of files it takes forever. I assume you test with large data sets.

OK - 8-10K isn't particularly large, so it shouldn't affect it. How many files were in the scan total? What scan type?
