Hi, newbie to the forum here. Appreciate any help for a workaround on this one:
Frequently with a very large set of duplicates, I just need to be able to enter the path for those I want to mark for deletion! This is the opposite of Selection Assistance - Select By Location. The reason is I often have a folder with a LARGE # of files as well as a large # I need to delete (only 2 files per group, so easy to identify the offending folder the dupes don't belong) spread across dozens of folders I need to preserve the files. The location selection tool does not work because it will only mark a single path I want to keep. The path/folder of the files I need to mark for deletion may not be the longest or shortest, so path length for selection is not a good work around.
Anyone have a good work around?
Thank You!
Harry

Re: Need to Select by Path/Mark for Deletion!
If you have a file in the list with the path you want to keep, right-click on the file and select "Mark->Mark all duplicate files in this folder tree". Alternately, you can use the 'Select by text' tool, select the path column, and enter the path name.
