Unicode Problem?

Post by george-london »

Hi! Have 2 iTunes forlders to compare. I worked out that any file that contains an accent (such as: La Represin) is DETECTED (but on the file type column it does not display the file type (such as MP3 file) and also it tells me that the files are deleted (with no error message???) but files are still there. Tested other MP3 files without accent on the file names and detects/displays type and deletes correctly). Is version 2 due anytime soon? I am also willing to contribute to the Greek translation, so contact me. Thank you.

Hi, Duplicate Cleaner 1.4 does not properly support Unicode file names. This is resolved in Duplicate Cleaner 2 which is fully Unicode native. Working hard on it - hoping to get a beta out soon.
If you are interested in a translation for DC2.0 then drop an email to software (at) digitalvolcano.co.uk, and I'll let you know when it is ready.
