I have just paid and downloaded program but can't get past the splash screen . it just freezes at this point . Is there any issues with WIN 7 or anything else .
I have uninstalled this PRO version and re- installed but same problem . Any advice ?

Is this on the first open after your install, or did it open initially, you set up a scan, which ran, closed down, then when you went to reopen it hung?

Verify (with Task Manager) that Duplicate Cleaner has not hung in memory.
If it has, kill it.
Duplicate Cleaner stores some data in a place like (& adjust as necessary for different OS):
C:\Documents and Settings\therube\Application Data\DigitalVolcano\DuplicateCleaner
Rename that directory to something like:
(Not sure if that would invalidate the license, but even if it does, don't worry about that at this point.)
C:\Documents and Settings\therube\Application Data\DigitalVolcano\DuplicateCleaner.OLD
See if Duplicate Cleaner starts up.
If it does, then we'll continue from there.
If it does not, delete the newly created directory & rename the .OLD back to DuplicateCleaner.
