small previews for large images

I noticed such a problem - when I turn on the preview of images, some of large images have tiny previews, and I have medium ones - normal. Is there any way to fix this so that the preview stretches across the width or height of the window? And it would be nice to be able to enlarge the preview of small images.

This could be due to the DPI setting in the Images. Which program version are you using? Are you using the thumbnail mode, the Preview column, or the Image Preview Window?

I also often have to same issue with seemingly random images where the Fit Image checkbox does nothing.
It might be when the DPI is very high, is there anyway to make it ignore the DPI and just fit the image regardless?
On version 5.23.
