I have gathered all my photos from various cloud storages, thumb drives, etc. onto my C: drive and now want to cleanup and delete all the duplicates or near duplicates.
I'm still not familiar with the multitude of options and settings in Duplicate Cleaner Pro.
Can someone provide some BASIC settings to find all duplicates? Once I see the results of the scan, I can start playing with options to further refine my selection criteria to come up with the candidates for deletion.
Here are the Scan Criteria I plan to use. Any suggestions?
IMO, well, depending..., you're better of starting with a Content search first - in order to find exact duplicates (as that is likely faster).
And once you've found & dealt with them, then jump to the Image search to find "other" duplicates (that are not 100% duplicate, like due to a tag or rotation difference).
Thanks. I did a scan for exact duplicates on my entire C: drive. There were a lot of duplicates found in Windows and other system folders that I am nervous about deleting.
I should only select folders and have my personal files in them, I guess. Duh!
