Today I started Duplicate Cleaner 5.0.13 and was notified that version 5.14 is available. I downloaded, installed and ran it; found some duplicate photos which I marked for deletion. When I clicked on the Delete Files button, Malwarebytes kicked in and said it stopped a ransomware attack and quarantined 'Duplicate Cleaner 5.exe' . I uninstalled 5.14 and went back to 5.0.13 and all is well. Has anyone else seen this? It's no doubt a Malwarebytes false positive but you never know and I don't want to second-guess ransomware alerts.

Update: Malwarebytes has recognized this as a false positive and whitelisted the program. Sorry for the "fake news".
