Scan slowing down exponentially over time

Post by Paul America »

using 4b

Im scannign 10TB of media files, mostly videos (in terms of size).

The first ~69 percent of my scan probably got done in 2 hours.

10 hours later it was at 93%.

Now, 22 hours later, it is apparently stuck at 99.7%. Two hard drives spinning at 95% disk usage, just to scan the last thousand or two files.

Why this logarithmic slow down? Should I just scan in smaller chunks to avoid this perhaps?

Also, is there a way to have activity on these threads emailed to us? So i dont have to come here to check if anyone replied?

Which mode was it scanning in? Did it finish?

Could have been a memory issue.?
