Is it feasible to have an option to Preserve Parent Directory Date & Time ?

While perhaps not "exact", I would think should be pretty close in most cases:

BulkFileChanger
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/bulk_file_changer.html

Drag the wanted directories into BFC
Select the same (Ctrl+A)
Actions | Change Time
- leave the topmost 'File Date / Time' as is
- Copy Time From... | Created -> To: Modified
Do it

Maybe not perfect, but not bad.

(let me see what FreeFileSync thinks about that...)

Should offer more flexibility.

Compare by Date/Time flags the linked files.
Once I have my sources "correct", if I were then to update the targets, should be OK after that.
(Better if I didn't have to do that, or I could ignore certain file sets know that they're unchanged, but...)

Compare by Content is also likely to fail, if the files were similar rather then exactly the same.
And Compare by Content is a lot slower (& not worth the time expended).

So, guess I have to bit the bullet & update, once.
