which is it?

Post by wrswaim »

I am a new user to DCPro primarily for phots. What I have not been able to find out is this: when all the duplicate photos are displayed does it display all BUT one (original/oldest?) photo, or, all copies of that photo displayed and you need to save the one you wish to keep?

Let me know, - thank you

It displays all copies of the file in each group. You need to select which ones to keep and which to delete. The Selection Assistant can help with this.

You can use the selection assistant to help select files for deletion (for instance "Select all but one in each group", or "select files with the lowest bitrate". To select earlier versions of the files you can use the 'Select by modified date/time->Select oldest files in each group' function.

See manual page here:

The program will warn you if you have selected all copies in any particular group.
