Received email from CNET that there is a new DC. Downloaded it from CNET and ran it ... and I get an error: See attachment.
I installed over version 3.0.0.1
Windows 7 -64
I can uninstall then reinstall .. or fall back to 3.0.0.3 but thought I would report this.
install error 3.1.0.4

Thanks for this - sorry you are having trouble!
Any chance of emailing your Duplicate Cleaner settings file after this fails?
D:\Users\[You]\AppData\Roaming\DigitalVolcano\DuplicateCleaner\DuplicateCleaner.data
It shouldn't be very large. you can send it to support (@) digitalvolcano.co.uk
I'll take a look and see if we can get a quick fix out.

Re: install error 3.1.0.4
Thanks,
The program is crashing due to an unusual date format on your system (ddd/dd/mm/yy or similar). Not your fault, I need to update the program to handle this and save dates in its own format.
As a workaround you can try changing your short date format in control panel to dd/mm/yy or something standard. Delete the duplicatecleaner.data file and re-run the program - hopefully this should fix it. (Search for 'date' in the Windows control panel and choose 'change the date, time or number format'.)

Indeed. I customized my W7-64 date format some time ago. FYI, it is "Tuesday/4/23/13". I will follow your advice and all will be resolved .. and look fwd to the next release .. where I can regain my preferences. Awesome product, GREAT support. Thank you very much.
