Hi - Somehow under Scan Location Tab in the left pane (available folders) a sub folder appears that does NOT actually exist ( at least not according to the directory tree shown on Windows Explorer) Furthermore when I select said (nonexistent) folder and move it to the right pane (search paths) under the Scan Location Tab and hit Scan Now, it actually finds files and sub folders within THAT (nonexistent) folder. These are all being shown as duplicate files and I would like to remove them - but like I said the actual folder does not exist. I am afraid to delete these 'phantom' files as I believe they are actually somehow 'referenced' incorrectly by Duplicate Cleaner and will be removed from their actual location. Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks

What's the folder called? It could be a hidden system folder and you might not see in Windows explorer depending on your settings.

AHA you are correct Sir - Don't ask me why it would make that folder a Hidden folder - but when I unchecked that box under folder options it appeared in Windows Explorer. Strange - but thanks for the answer!
