Exclusive working of Preserved Folder

Talking about this;
a. Duplicate files>> Selection Assistant>>Select by Location >>Inset the foldername
b. Press Button>> Mark

I was trying to knock out duplicates from a folder which had further subs.. I had to preserve files in a folder A , did a and b and removed them.
Next I wanted to further eliminate files in Folders B , C and D say by the creation date thru Selection Assistant. I found that files (duplicates) in Folder A was also getting marked which I wanted to avoid. So had to go to Duplicate files>> Selection Assistant>>Select by Location and press Mark to remove the checks in Folder A.

Could not "a" be made exclusive.Presently a and b in Tandem only works. Also if possible if the preserved folder files are made Italicized the user will know the files are excluded on his own volition.

Hi,
I think the website has been revamped! just to the point. The operations done in selection assistant>> MARK and later by selection assistant>> are not contiguous. When the latter is done the former selections are overuled (in very GENERAL terms , not specified to the request) but the reverse operation is OK. Could you make them to be serial , or perhaps an alert that the earlier selections will be changing.
