I may have totally missed the boat on this, but I thought that it was possible to compare .csv files for duplicates in DV.
I exported my Groupwise "contacts" into a CSV file because I will no longer be using that program. Then I exported my Outlook (which I will now be using exclusively) into another CSV file.
However, when I try to drag and drop these two files into the DV search path window, nothing happens. As I am dragging these CSV files (in Windows explorer), a plus sign appears with the cursor, which I understand to mean that a copy the the original file will be left at the cursor's destination. However when I release my mouse's left-click button, the plus sign disappears and nothing appears in the "Search Path" window. I can drag and drop other types of files with no problem.
Any suggestions? Or is actually not a feature of DV?
Thanks for any help that anyone can offer.

Not a feature of DV.

At any point after the scan your results list and selections can be exported to a CSV (Comma Separated Value) text file which can be open in a spreadsheet or database program. Click on the File->Export Duplicate List menu and specify a file name. This list can be imported back in at a later stage using the 'Import CSV file' menu option - note that if any reasonable length of time has passed then a re-scan is recommended as the files may have changed.
