I have seen some other topics about this subject, but can't find any reply whether or not this feature will be available in a next version.
What I need is a function in Duplicate Cleaner that allows me to scan a folder or set of folders for files that only appears once, not just based on file name, but based on the contents.
I found other duplicate file finders (like from Auslogic) that does include this feature, but because I like Duplicate cleaner more I hope this crucial function will be included soon.
Search for unique files
Re: Search for unique files
I'm guessing he means starting with a certain file, and comparing it to other files to find (the locations of) its duplicates. Sounds like a nifty feature.lazyman wrote:Clarify thisonly appears once
Re: Search for unique files
This is probably the feature I came to the forum to find if I could do in DV.
I want to make sure that two folder trees contain exactly the same files. If any file is "unique" then I will need to copy it into the other tree. I can do the copying manually if DV would just tell me the differences between the two sets of files.
DV is great! Thanks for the update.
