Re AppData files, I would agree, IF the associated exe is running.

If it's not, and the file shows zero bytes, why not remove it, to clean up my enormous dupe list?

Is there a way in Duplicate Cleaner Pro to support this approach?

If not, what else can I try?

What option can I change to avoid this type of error?

I use Carbonite as my cloud backup. Recently I had to restore all files due to a hard drive crash. The restore was interrupted and happened twice. This resulted in many dupe entries like this (e.g. Group 54 listing):

"TAVStime2.xlsm C:\Dale\Documents\02HumanResources\ 54 40.9 KB 2/8/2012 9:30:31 AM ...

I am a newbie. What option can I change so an error such as the following does not occur?

"Delete Error: C:\Users\TEMP\Favorites\Get Bookmark Add-ons.URL : Access to the path 'C:\Users\TEMP\Favorites\Get Bookmark Add-ons.URL' is denied."

"Delete Error: C:\Users\Laney.M17X\AppData\Local\Google ...

Just retried Shift--it works, if I select a row by clicking the file name. Does not work if I "select" a row by checking its box. Thanks for making me take another look!

Could I mark all 0 byte files for deletion? (Remember, this is my first day with the software...)

I'm a new user. I (somehow) got a list of duplicate files by file size. In my Group 1, I have hundreds of 0 byte files. How can I mark this whole group for deletion? Surely there must be a way, vs. checking individual file boxes hundreds of times! Searched Help using several different terms, no joy.
