Options - Preview

 
These options affect the preview pane in the main window, and the output in the Regular Expressions Tester.

Maximum number of hits

1. Maximum number of hits
The maximum number of file hits shown on each page.  The preview pages can be navigated using the arrow buttons.  If in 'Preview all matches together mode' (View menu) then this is the maximum number of hits that will be shown per file.

Maximum characters before/after found text

The maximum number of characters shown before the first hit and after the last hit in each preview line.

The maximum number of characters shown between each hit in any preview line.

Number of lines to display above/below found text

The number of lines to preview above and below each line with a match on it.

Show Line Numbers option

Displays the line numbers.

Preview font options

6. Preview font options
These settings control the preview font and highlight colours.
The second highlight background colour is used to help distinguish when there are hits next to each other.
