Batch mode editor [Pro]

 
The batch mode tool is used for batching a sequence of find and replace commands. The commands are processed in the order they are listed in the editor.

Loads a batch process file (TXC extension).
 
The saved file format is different to TextCrawler 2, but it will import TextCrawler 2 batch files correctly.

Imports a comma or tab separated list of find-replace pairs, one per line.

Move line up button

Moves the currently selected line up one place in the processing order.

Moves the currently selected line down one place in the processing order.

Removes the currently selected line.

Duplicates (copies) the currently selected line.

Clears the current selection to enable a fresh command to be created.

You can set the type of command for the current batch line here.
 
There are also special commands which can go at the start of the batch script, in addition to the Find and Replace actions.  They are listed below. Some require parameters (listed in square brackets) which also need to be filled in. Any commands listed here override the settings in the Main window at the time of running the batch script.

The find and replace text for the current command is viewed and changed here. It also has the usual zoom popup button and access to the Library.

Comment text

You can add or edit a comment for each line here.  This doesn't affect the running of the batch script but can be useful for reference.

Updates the current command in the list after editing it.

The options for the current find or regular expression being edited.

Queue batch process button

This button queues the batch script ready for use and closes the batch editor window.  You need to click this to update any changes you have made to the queued script.

Pops up a find window allowing searching of the batch script itself.

A handy shortcut to the regular expression testing tool, linked to the currently selected line in the script.

Note: This will not queue any changes you have made.
