Version 4 - folder disappeared after dragging into 'Scan location'

So...I'm using version 4 and was setting up a search. It occurred to me that maybe I could drag a folder that I wanted to include in the scan into the 'Scan location' widow. When I tried it, the folder (and contents) that I dragged into the window simply disappeared. I think, just before I dropped the folder, that the icon said I was 'Moving' it.

There did not seem to be any disc activity when I did this so I'm hoping that the files might still be there somewhere. Just wondered whether anyone might have any ideas?

All this does is add the folder name to the 'Scan location' list. It doesn't move the folder.
It's more likely that you've dragged the folder to another location in the file explorer before you dropped it in DC. Have a look though the file explorer folders to search for it (try searching for file names if you know any that should be in the folder)
