"File(s) were not processed as they are Protected"

I'm getting the above message, and files are not deleted by DC, even though the marked file(s) can be deleted by other utilities.

Despite this - I like very much this utility and would like to use it as my default one - once I'll be able to delete the files.

Here's a directory listing, showing that the file and its directory is not hidden/system/read-only.

Try unchecking the 'Protect DLL/EXE files' option in the Options menu.

Like the chap above, I too, have problems deleting duplicate files.I've followed the advice given by dv, but it still tells me files are protected.
Can anyone help?
