Suggested Addition to TextCrawler & Spelling Error

Post by Chad »

Dear TextCrawler developer,

What a nice piece of software you have made in TextCrawler. Thank you. When you get time and energy to do so, please program in logging and export capability. I'd like to be able to export a list of what the search has found, and a log of the changes it is making.

P.S. When it finds your search results, TextCrawler says "X number of occurences", and I believe it is spelled occurrences.

Thanks, Chad

Thanks for spotting the spelling!

You can export the match list, or the results windows from the File menu. To export all match details make sure you have the 'Preview all matches together' option enabled first.

Logging is something i hope to add to TC 2.0

Is this built-in now? I have TC 2.2 but the "enable logging" checkbox is greyed out.

BTW, this is by far the best find & replace utility I hacve EVER come accross :) Thank you thank you thank you!

Sorry, logging isn't working yet as of 2.2. Glad you like TC!

Export match details as CSV

I find the RTF formatting confusing and difficult to machine process. I'd love to be able to "export match details" in CSV format if that would be possible. Something like the current "Export match list" feature but with an extra column showing the matches for each file.
