In Duplicate Cleaner 5 you can load and save the current scan complete with scan settings. It can be thought of as a 'snapshot' of the program state at the current time.
This is useful if you have settings you want to re-use at a later date, or are putting a scan to one side to run a different one. You can also use it as a way of rolling back complex file marking.
The following can be saved and recalled:
Search criteria
Scan location
And optionally (if 'Save scan results' is checkmarked):
Duplicate files tab content
Duplicate folders tab content
Remaining files tab content
All file marking states on above tabs.
What is not saved:
Application settings (as on the settings tab) including presets and themes
File removal settings
Tool settings
Loading and saving
Access the Load and save tool from the Home tab. Any saved states are listed here. Select and click 'Load scan' to load the selected scan.
To save your current settings (or scan results) click the 'Save scan' button. The following window will appear:
If Save scan results is not checkmarked, only the settings (Criteria, locations) are saved.
CSV Import
