Mark duplicates in 1 folder, remove .. groups - confusing?

Post by dcwul62 »

** Note that a separate post exist about the suggestion of adding a new option.

The below is about deleting groups, etc.

I selected "Mark all files in this folder"
When deleting Duplicate Cleaner comes up with (in this case) 16 groups.
Huh..? Groups? What groups?
I selected 1 folder, donot know about groups.

Confused, am I doing something wrong here?

Most probably it is all okay....
If so, I would suggest to surpress this warning

This means you have 16 complete groups of duplicate files in the folder you selected for deletion . For instance, that could mean 16 pairs of identical tif files with slightly different names. The warning is important, as it means you will lose all copies of those files if you delete that folder - they were not found elsewhere in the scan.
