Batch Commands: Feature enhancement
Batch Commands: Feature enhancement
I'm just beginning to use the Batch Commands feature, which appears to be incredibly valuable by the way (thank you for this), but I was wondering about a possible enhancement. What is the possibility of adding an option for a CSV file (export and import). This way, I could define my list of find/replace operations within Excel and then export the workbook as a CSV file, ready for TextCrawler to do it's magic. Also, perhaps adding an additional parameter for the type of replacement to perform (i.e. Standard, RegEx, etc). What do you think?
Thank you!! I find this feature absolutely brilliant and the application it's self is wonderful, but there is just one thing I tend to have a problem with. When I'm trying to perform a find and replace across a large number of files (several thousand), TextCrawler will lockup and never recover. I found the same happened when testing this feature because I was trying to perform this operation across 9000 pages. Is this a known issue?
Re: Batch Commands: Feature enhancement
I am tring to build an index of my htm pages. Is there a way to feed in a list of terms using batch commands and have textcrawler spit out the results? Thanks so much in advance.
