Hi, DV and Users. Please allow me this moment to thank DigitalVolcano for all the great software. I use the dupe finder, and use the [shhhut yo' mouth] out of the TextCrawler, both 1 and 2. Rock /and/ roll!

Okay. Here's the deal...

Moments ago, I tried sending a file to FreeCommander.exe (see freecommander.com ), a freeware file manager for which I have great affinity.

The path includes spaces (ah la "Program Files"). On receipt of the command, FreeCommander returns "FirstWord" not a valid path.

I don't recall this happening elsewhere, never mind I don't recall what I did five minutes ago, but I digress.

As much as I love FreeCommander, I realize software is subject to erroneous behaviour, here and there. Thus, I am not confident in /pointing the finger/ in any direction, in this case. Not to mention, pointing the finger is rude, nevertheless, by the way.

I checked, and I am using v2.1

Glad you like our stuff :)

Open with... does correctly send paths with spaces in, however perhaps freecommander needs these type of paths to be in "quotes".

In this case you can try Options->External programs tab.
Select "Open Using specified application", put in the location of the freecommander.exe, and set Additional Command line parameters to "[File]" (including the quotes). This will send the filename in quotes to the app.
