Use Textcrawler edit XML files in SharePoint Lib

Hi there,
I have several XML files in a SharePoint Server library where I want to change a URL in each file.

So my question is: Is Textcrawler able, to edit the files on the server from another computer?

I don't have experience of sharepoint, but it'll work if you can get file system access, either through a mapped drive letter or a network path (eg \\server01\docs\)
