Re: Copy-Paste File names
> Are you needing to do this from within DC, particularly? Oh, you're using DC to actually find the dups. If not, there is nothing better then Everything. Well, there still is nothing better then Everything. In Everything, do a search for: directory\names1\ That will list your files in names1. You c...

Looks to work here.
Code: Select all

Re: Does HashTool have a CLI?
Though you can pass it complete file names (no wildcards) from the command line.
C:> Hash_Tool.exe testing123.txt more456.arj
Will load Hash Tool, hashing the file "testing123.txt" & "more456.arj".
(Now, how robust that might be, don't know.)

Hash Tool web page needs a hash
Hash Tool web page, https://www.digitalvolcano.co.uk/hash.html, should have a hash shown for HashTool_setup_1.2.1.exe .
(And the 1.1 version too.)

Hash Tool, should pad ms to 3 places
Hash Tool, should pad ms to 3 places. Hash Tool shows the time it takes to compute a hash. Though if the ms are <100, only to places are displayed. So you might get something like 02:01:00.10 and something like 02:01:00.900 When you're comparing, in your mind, that lack of a placeholder makes a diff...

Video mode -> Hash (Video), what does that do?
Video mode -> Hash (Video) I understand: performs a MD5 hash on V+A / V / A but just what does that mean/do ? & how is it different from a Regular mode -> Hash ? does it extract V+A / V / A in a "raw" (or some such format) from the video clip such that any potential tags or header diff...

Re: Problems Comparing Files
Regular mode scan, Ignore content
then
More duplicate options, Same file name
(do not check, Same file extension)
Wouldn't that find your files?
Then it's simply a matter of Selecting your .ttf files.

Re: SUGGESTION: Audio Extensions
Oh, so you're wanting DC to be able to deal with audio length, tags & whatnot for particular file types (extensions), not simply having a particular extension turn up if you search for "audio". Now what particular extensions the audio library can actually handle, that I've got no clue....

Re: Not finding duplicate word documents
What type of compare are you running?
Do hashes of the two word documents compare?
IOW, are they identical?
Are you looking for identical?
In the case of Excel files... https://freefilesync.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9934

Re: SUGGESTION: Audio Extensions
Options | Presets -> Audio / Music I suppose you've done this already & would like them to be there on a default install. As far as that goes, you could do something like: *.aac;*.ac3;*.aif;*.aifc;*.aiff;*.amr;*.ape;*.au;*.cda;*.dts;*.fla;*.flac;*.it;*.m1a;*.m2a;*.m3u;*.m4a;*.mid;*.midi;*.mka;*....
