Re: SUGGESTION: "Audio - Similar" comparison - "video x audio" extensions.
Just to point out, if you've downloaded a "video" & all you want is the audio, you can pull that out separately, losslessly. (And with that you'd have audio/audio to compare against.) And of course, if you know ahead of time that you won't need the video then you may be able to downloa...

Re: Scan Location Modes on Duplicate Cleaner 5
I'll just point out that DC5 has "built-in" help (the '?' in the program or you can open "Duplicate Cleaner 5 help.chm" directly). If you are looking for "exact" (content) duplicates, a Regular mode search, by Same Content, will be faster, then the other modes (Image, A...

(While maybe not "particularly" important, kind of surprised that they use MD5 - given that MD5 can generate collisions.)

Re: Installs into 32-Bit not 64-Bit Folder "Program Files (x86)
Does it matter, particularly? That said, I believe, in this case, the program is a quasi-dual bit program, meaning that on 32-bit OS, it runs 32, & on 64-bit OS it runs 64, with Duplicate Cleaner 5.exe itself "starting life", if you will, as x86, the morphing into the x64 that you see ...

Depending on you (disk/directory) layout, something like this might work, viewtopic.php?t=2834.

Re: Mark files to exclude
Suppose you could do something like set up a "KEEP" subdirectory. So: Medical/KEEP/ Medical Expenses/KEEP/ & move the dups that you want to keep into KEEP, & set the KEEP directories as 'Protected' (in the Folder search list). (Maybe only 1 "KEEP" directory, in the Expens...

Yes.

Not that it matters at this point, but in what way did it not work properly?
Yes.

Re: Feature Request: Allow users to select different "Find Duplicates" options for all folders being searched
Took me a bit to understand what you meant.
In the Scan Location tab, you are able to select wanted directories, & once selected, the context-menu has a Folders sub-menu where the OP can than do as requested.
