Re: Extract text
You could try (in regular expression mode)
".*" and then extract. You'd have to find-replace the quotes afterwards though.

Re: how can identical files be a differnt size
If you selected a content search, then you are correct, the files will always be the same size.

Re: System Requirements for DC ?
therube is correct, DC requires .NET 2 minimum, and runs fine on 3.0, 3.5. It's not currrently flagged as fully compatible with 4.0, so you will need to install 3.5, which i believe runs fine alongside 4.0.

Re: Duplicate Cleaner 3.0
The licensing is per user, so you are free to buy a copy and install it on your desktop, and laptop, etc. there is no restrictive DRM so your license doesn't get lost if you rebuild your machine.
Glad you like DC!

Good Ideas, thanks. I did have something in mind similar to the labelling of critical or important input folders.- will try and implement.

Re: RFE: Remove "Noise" from File Names
Good ideas - the fuzzy (similar) search kind of does this - it'll ignore numbers, etc, but won't work if the names are too different.

Re: Duplicate Cleaner doesn't see some folders
Is it some kind of virtual folder, or perhaps something to do with junction points? Try unticking the 'do not follow NTFS mountpoints and junctions' option.
