Re: Request: A way to scan duplicates according to specific metadata

Hmmm.. Thank you, but that seems to be more about filtering the results after a scan has been completed. What I'm hoping to do is make scans faster by telling the program to ignore files that don't contain X metadata during an earlier stage of a scan before it gets to properly matching duplicates ...

Request: A way to scan duplicates according to specific metadata

Hi,

I'm not entirely sure how feasible this is, but as someone with a lot of files across a few folders who routinely scans to check for duplicates, I'd love a way to be able to sort of filter out a lot of files after the "reading metadata" stage before the "matching duplicates" stage, to cut down ...

Requesting Advice on How to Set Folder Status

Hi,

So on my PC I've got a series of working folders and then a main folder I store images in long-term (and a second, smaller storage folder I'm trying to use on the most subject to change files to make scans faster).

Essentially, throughout a month I'll get images from several sources which are ...

Any tips on speeding up finding duplicate images?

I've been using this software for about two years now, and over time my documents folder has been ballooning out somewhat. I tend to add metadata to files to make things more searchable, so when I use Duplicate Cleaner I make sure I'm scanning those, too, because I want to make sure even if a 'new ...

Any Way To Ignore Specific Group Results?

Sorry, this is a bit of a weird and kinda complicated question, but I was hoping there was a way to tell the scan not to show me files that result in a certain group unless there's a new file within that group that triggers the duplicate scan?

For example: say I have three pictures, each slightly ...

Re: Alphabetical Keywords Option

Hi, I was just wondering if this was still on the cards? Attributes show up in the order they appear in the file's metadata but my Keywords still show up alphabetically, it's a bit of a hassle to compare tags

Can't Recover License Key

Hi,

I'm in the process of preparing to replace my computer and I was hoping to recover my Duplicate Cleaner Pro 5 license for the new machine. However, when I go to the Recover License Key website and put in any of my email addresses I would have used for the purchase, I get the message "Sorry ...

Alphabetical Keywords Option

Hi,

In the latest version there is a line that says "Keywords list in metadata now sorted alphabetically". I've noticed that in my scan today.

I preferred having the keywords show up in the order they appear in the actual file metadata, as I use a sort of tree system to easily identify where ...
