Hello Community,

when searching for the biggest files on my harddrive i came across the folder "scan" in "C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\DigitalVolcano\DuplicateCleaner"

What are the files in there and why are some so big ? those cant be the database because that is a much larger file somewhere ...

i am still missing the very helpfull funktion "mark smallest width / height"

The Problem with your new Filter is that in case of duplicates with the same width / height there will still be something marked no matter what.

Back in the days "mark smallest width / height ...

i will try the reset... no matter what view options i have selected/deselected it was slow

Today i was really happy to see that two new updates are available.... but to make a long story short: i will still rather use Duplicate Cleaner Version 4 as it is in EVERY WAY better in performance and handling than version 5....

I donts miss anything in Version 4 as i can not even "test" new ...

When filtering images by their resolution, DC4 used to only select files in groups that had smaller image resolutions. Could this be brough back into DC5?


Exactly one of my downsides for version 5.... i always end up selecting at least 1 file in each group even if its the same resolution as the ...

my last image scan had more than 100.000 duplicates found...and yes i tried turning on an off several things....after a while of using it stabilizes but then when i do a filter or something gets deleted the programm becomes realy slow

i just run a image scan (exact matches, rotated and flipped with same aspect ratio)...the results were smooth when scrolling...but as soon as i use a filter, delete something, and switch back to the unfiltered result list it turns into a slideshow of scrolling..painfully slow....its really at least ...

there were no filters whatsoever.... i just wanted to mark files with the assistant and only one file was marked....after a restart of the programm it worked exactly as it should....

AFTER scanning....i might do another big scan like that again to verify but so far it was pretty darn slow in my interaction responses
