Open Using Windows Default option

When this option is selected, double clicking a file in the results list will open that file in it's default application.

Open Using Specified Application options

2. Open Using Specified Application options
 
When this option is selected, double clicking a file in the results list will open the file in the application specified here. You can also specify custom parameters to enable the target program to open the file at the correct line.
 
Some parameters for popular editing programs:
 
Notepad++
[File] -n[Line]
 
NotePad2
/g [Line] [File]

Displays/selects a secondary application for opening and viewing text files.
