Input from folder(s)

 
'Input from folder(s)' mode will read all files from the specified folder.  A filter can be specified for including and excluding file types.

File type

The main input file type filter. Multiple file types can be separated by a semicolon (;).
 
Examples:
*.txt
*.txt;*.ini
 
You can also specify other wildcard type filters:-
 
All txt files ending in 1:
*1.txt
 
All files beginning with an underscore:
_*.*
 
Clicking on the filter chooser button will bring up some preset options.  You can also save your own commonly used filters here.

Exclude filter

The file types here are excluded from the search, if picked up by the main filter.
 
For example, this will pick everything up except .bak files:
 
File filter: *.*
Exclude: *.bak

Start location

3. Start location
 
This is the folder location to search. Multiple folders can be added to this, separated using the pipe (|) symbol.  Click on the folder tree button for an easy way to add multiple folders.
 
Tip: Folders can also be dragged in from a Windows Explorer window.

Scan all subfolders option

When checked, all subfolders of the input folders are scanned also.

Other filters

Click this button to add other filters to the search.  You can filter by:
 
  • Files by date created
  • Files by date modified
  • Folders by date created
  • Folders by date modified
