Find similar [Pro]

 
Find Similar mode will search for text that is similar to the word entered. This is useful to find misspellings or variations of a word.  Two types of search algorithm are available.

Find text

1. Find text
The text to find is entered here. The find text cannot be empty.

Algorithm

2. Algorithm
There are two algorithms available:
  • Edit Distance - aka Levenshtein distance. The tolerance is the number of edits that would be required to get from one word to another.
  • Sounds-Like - Double Metaphone algorithm for finding words that sound similar.

Tolerance

3. Tolerance
This sets the tolerance for the Edit Distance.  The larger the number, the more difference allowed between the words.

If this is unchecked, only results different to the search word are included.
