Registered user of DC4 and DC5
Neither version recognises duplicates that include OGG files - I have a folder of said files, as a test I extracted WAV files from the OGG files using ffmpeg, placed them in the same folder, DC5 doesn't flag them as duplicates.
When I use ffmpeg to convert the original OGG files into 128kbps MP3 files (again, saved to the same folder), DC5 picks up the WAV and MP3 files as duplicates.
Settings are Audio mode, compare full file, any file name, any extension, mask *.ogg;*.wav;*.mp3, find dupes within same folder, ignore tags.
I don't have that many .OGG files to start with so never really worried about it, however the fact that the presets include *.OGG when the software seems to ignore those files is somewhat irksome, I finally decided to post about the issue here.
I've run similar tests using DC v4.14 Pro and got the same results.
For reference, Windows 11 Pro 24H2 fully up to date, DC v5.25.0, comparisons run on a FAT32 formatted SSD partition, files play normally in foobar2000.
TIA

Re: .OGG files
Hi
I've checked and it looks like there is a logged issue with OGG files when comparing in one of the Similar modes. They will work in Match exact audio data or Ignore modes.
It seems the OGG format isn't currently working with Audio fingerprinting. Hopefully will get a fix in the next big update.
