Save results can improve next scan speed?

Hello all ;)

I have several HDDs...just like most people. With a few hundred thousand files total, so scans take a pretty long time.

My question, since i prefer byte-by-byte , if i save the results after deleting the duplicates, and then next month when i need to scan, will it need to rescan those files it already has the signature for? or will it start over with everything.

Byte by Byte will always rescan the files - this compares each file so it doesn't use signatures or hashes - so nothing to cache.

Hash caching for MD5, etc is a posibility for a future update of Duplicate cleaner. Currently just the Image metrics are cached.
