Audio Mode - Match Audio Tags
If I'm understanding ...
When "music" is scanned (MP3 & other music formats, I suppose), audio tags are automatically scanned & checked for compares against the list of selected checkboxes.
If no checkboxes are checked then tags are skipped & only the music portion of the MP3 are checked.
IOW, in order to check for exact duplicates of an MP3, you would have to checkmark ALL of the Same options.
Suggest that it work opposite.
Instead of (a pre- & always selected) "Match Audio Tags", that there be an checkbox, "Ignore Audio Tags" & if checked then all of the following options are grayed out. If you uncheck it, then those options become available for selection (though they still could all be left blank as the default is now).
Also, somewhere in there it should list just what is considered "audio" & how "audio" are determined. IOW is a files header scanned for a "magic number" or is it only by extension only or ?
The way things are now, the default options ignore Tags, & that threw me for a loop, being unexpected. Just thinking it would be clearer if things were reversed.
And the more I'm thinking & the more I'm looking, the more I'm confusing myself.
IOW, I just want to scan a set of files, for exact Content, irrespective if they are "audio" or not, but when audio is thrown into the mix ... I just not sure what I'm going to get?
