Thanks so much for a really great program! It's easy to use yet provides very sophisticated feature set - a rare combination!

I put together a few suggestions to consider for a future version... Forgive me if these suggestions have already been posted.

* In the Duplicate Files tab, cycle the colors so that similar colors never appear next to each other. No need for so many colors - three or five in the same cycle would work.
* Allow for cumulative sort selections in Duplicate Files folder - e.g. Select Path column header, then select Size header - It ends up sorted first on Size, and then within Size by Path. This is subtle, but would be very helpful...
* I had a set of RAR files that was divided into part01, part02, etc. (downloaded from binary newsgroups where this is common) and all RAR files were same color. There were 9 parts each part with one duplicate, and the group numbers were right, but the whole set was blue...
* PAR files seem to get a 0 CRC. Why? Had a set of .mp3 files that showed no file type in FileType column (despite correct extension) and 0 CRC. Files did have a size. * Selection Assistant is a great idea and options are good - but it would help if you could highlight a set of files in the Duplicate Files window and have the Selection Assistant only act on the highlighted files
* Also on Selection Assistant - Provide the ability to specify multiple selection criteria to be applied. For example: I want to select all the duplicates with XXX pattern, but make sure that no group has all items selected.

what does group column represents?

Great value, but ...
In a comparison by date, should be possible to tolerate a little difference. By me often 1 second only is making the difference.

This program almost wrecked my computer. At least one of my programs was corrupted and won't work and I have to reinstall it. I hope there aren't others. I tried to restore the computer to an earlier restore point and that didn't work.
It took out single .jpg's and I had to go through the recycle bin one-be-one to restore them and I hope I got them all.
I'm worried about what's in the recyle bin I need to restore but can't recognize.
By the way, the first pass to scan the entire computer was agonizingly slow.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS!

From the documentation: "Duplicate Cleaner looks for files on your hard disc that appear twice. There may be a good reason for this - a program may require a file in a certain place to work. If in doubt, do not delete a file!"

You shouldn't really run it on your entire file system, especially not the program files and windows folders.

If i compare this program to all this expensive shit progs, that are offered... this is really a great program, so instead to pay for an useless expensive program, i will donate for this one. thx 4 this program its really useful!

A bit late in the day but I can't help feeling Arnold is to blame for his woes. I find Duplicate Cleaner to be far more stable than what I would regard as the nearest rival, Duplicate Finder which is forever crashing & costs hard earned for the privilege. I can't imagine trying to scan an entire drive in one hit for dupes, but I can imagine Windows getting really bitchy if you try. I reckon Arnold should look at his drive cache settings. Is his machine up to the job? Other underlying problems with machine?

Never drive a car without getting a licence first...

If all files haved been deleted to the Recycle Bin, I would suggest to restore _all_ of them, instead of getting back what you think you "lost".

If all files have been restored you can either run Duplicate Cleaner again, or stay away from the program as you advise yourself.

Yep, totally agree with all of that. But the program should not be blamed, nor should warnings like 'STAY AWAY FROM THIS' be posted when it is pretty obvious that the majority are praising it to the hilt.
