Preview by folder and filter selected files

I do:
- set an folder
- set filter to "*.html"
- press "Find" to see what files would be used for this action
But i get an dialog only, saying me i had
to enter smtg into the Find-field.
I would think it is an good idea to show all
files with the set criteria if the find-field is empty.
So i can check if my filter criteria are correct.
Or implement something like an button "Show files".
But i think the about Find-"improvement" would be enough?
