file Exclude not working?

It seems the files I enter to exclude are searched anyway. Maybe I am entering the file names wrong. I am doing it this way.

*.max, *.psd, *.obj, *.bak

The names need to be semicolon, not comma separated.
*.max; *.psd; *.obj; *.bak

I should add a note saying this in the tooltip

No, the spaces are trimmed.
