When I paste text containing email addresses in the Test Regular Expressions window, they are recognized and get the extension " <mailto:copyoftheemailaddress>".
Why is that? I do not want that! It messes up my test.
This doesn't occur when I read the same contents of a file, which is fine and just as I would expect.
Pasting email addresses in Reg. Expressions Tester
OK, my mistake, sorry.
I copied some text from a website, pasted it into a text editor, and later pasted the same text into the Test Regular Expressions window. Text Crawler just "processed" (simply pasted) the HTML contents I copied and not the plain text I saw in the editor, as I expected.
After copying that text, pasting was OK.
Perhaps it could be made optional to paste Clipboard contents as plain text into Text Crawler.
