This is my first use of the product and it could not find a simple text string (non-regex). I have two files with the text string and another product was able to find the two files easily. The search was on *.txt files and included sub-folders. However, the files are at the root of the path.
Is it possible there is a bug when searching UNC paths?

TC should work fine with UNC paths.
One possibility is the text files have Unicode encoding - not supported in this version.

Try creating a file in notepad with similar text in it and save next to the other files.
