Portable please

Hi DV,
thank you for new release.
Please consider to leave my registry alone
and use an INI or XML in program folder instead.
(I mean next to the exe file)

Would be fine to have all portable.

I can relate to that!

Will investigate making a portable version when I get time...
Basically the current version uses several ocx's (richtext, commondialog) and needs the vb6 runtime libraries. These may or may not already be installed on your target machine.
It'll write to the registry though...

As a temporary fix, one can extract the installer using Uniextract.

Never mind, it doesn't check its root folder for the needed resource files, thus even uniextraction doesn't make it portable.

My apologies.
