image preview issues

1. - image preview currently doesn't support zooming and panning in PNG files (other formats might be affected as well)
2. - .jpeg is not recognized as jpeg image file extension, files ending in .jpeg are currently not displayed in the image preview window
3. - some PNGs take very long to decode and display, especially high resolution ones, regardless of file size
4. - the same might goes for hires jpeg, but it is a lot more extreme with PNGs

1. and 2. should be pretty trivial to fix for another 1.4.x release, and you might want to at least look into whatever is causing 3. and 4. for version 2.0 - I've seen PNGs under 1 MB take several seconds to decode and display on a 2.6 GHz desktop Core2Duo, while other programs only take a split second to open the same file.

2.0 should be a lot faster at displaying the images. It doesn't support panning yet, just autozoom.
