I right clicked on the executable in program files and chose Run as admin - since then I lost the ability to drag and drop files in DC - is this normal (win7) behavior ? If not it is probably a bug.
Also whenever I now run DC I get a UAC warning - what is the point of selecting run as admin then lol ?
I guess this is a windows thing I just wonder if it can be circumvented from inside DC ?
New to 7 - never used Vista - so you see...
Win7 annoyances
Hi George, I can`t tell you much about DC- that might be a bug.
Anyway it is not normal behavior for Win7 and most programs run as administrator automatically.
When I was running Vista I found the UAC very annoying and turned it off. Than I upgraded to Win7 at its release and guess what I did first! If you are the only one user of your computer than just follow my advice:
Open the Action Center ( click the white flag at the right end of the taskbar ) chose Security and set the UAC to never notify. I have got that setup since months and I never had a problem. No worries mate, if there is any safety issue the computer will let you know it strait away.
Enjoy!
