Bug: max file to scan 1065725

As you probably already know the maximum number of files DC is able to handle in a scan is < 1065725.
If there are more files in a scan the program terminates with a strange error message:

---------------------------
Duplicate Cleaner - Friendly Crash Message
---------------------------
Error during duplicate file scan : This item's control has been deleted
Program will now close, sorry. Report this error to DigitalVolcano and we'll try and fix it!
---------------------------

I think it would be nice if the program would handle the limitation better (like stopping the scan, presenting the duplicates found so far) and not just crash.

Sorry, I've just seen the post about the memory consumption. DC terminates with 1.8GB allocated memory. The problem are not the duplicate files (I have only 40k when it terminated) but the number of scanned files (which are about 2M).

this is tragic news. i have need to scan 5m files and do not look forward to scouring the internet for another program like duplicate cleaner that can handle this task.

i've ran into the same issue and it's disheartening to think that the program i've relied on in the past can't handle a 4 tb partition that's limping along.

Duplicate v2.0 will be able to handle it - you might have to hang on for the beta though (hopefully available in a month?)
